Such a favourite snack. Either morning and late afternoon.
These homemade muesli bars are so easy to make and this time you cannot complain that a certain flavour in the ready-made ones in the shop doesn’t please you. You can make them by your taste and choose only fave ingredients to include.
What you will omit by making these at home are all the chemical sweeteners and preservatives as well as the artificial aromas that i honestly loathe. So in this case we prefer home made – open your kitchen drawer and get out everything you have – oats, seeds, nuts, dried fruit, aromas, superfoods. You can make various kinds depending on the season.
I filled a big bowl with some lovely ingredients and then let it dehydrate in the oven until it gets tight and crunchy by the edges.
Ingredients:
1 cup oats
1/2 cup sunflower seeds
1/2 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup dried fruit mix (goji, raisins, cranberries, bluberries, fisalis)
1 grated apple
1/2 cup coconut cream
Mix everything well (with a hand preferably) then put the mixture in a tart pan, press gently to even the layer. Bake for 20-30 minutes in a medium heat until dry and slightly brown. Let cool and then cut.
*You can add also nuts – almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts, spices – cinnamon, vanilla, cloves. Try your mind out!
